My name is Natalie Lue and I started this blog under my own name in August 2010 to centralise three things I like doing: using my experiences to help people and provide solutions, talking about stuff I love, and giving an insight into my life as a ‘professional blogger’.
Blogging life started for me in June 2004 after I went on a bad, but very funny date. I found myself awake at 5am the following morning, unable to settle back to sleep and for some strange reason I remembered an article I’d read about blogging in The Observer a few months before, pulled out the clipping, and ten minutes later I had a blog, Tired of Men (I no longer write this blog) and other things that drive a twenty-something around the twist. I used my dating angst, tales of living in London, and my own journey in personal growth to inadvertently inspire readers and in September 2005, fuelled by support from readers, I started Baggage Reclaim, a dating and relationship blog where I use my own experiences and the lessons I’ve learned to help people offload their own baggage and discover themselves.
I found love in 2006 and life has fast forwarded since then as we have two little girls and have moved to suburbia. In May 2006, I started Bambino Goodies where I curated cool stuff that I’d found to convince me it wasn’t a sea of bland when you have a baby. In January 2008 while on maternity leave, I left my job as a major accounts manager for one of the biggest technology publishers in the world and decided to make the leap to blogging full time.
Roll forward to June 2012 and I have a personal readership of just over 550K unique users a month reading Baggage Reclaim and Bambino Goodies. While I do generate some income from advertising, it’s publishing several ebooks and self-publishing one of them into print, running ecourses (a new development), workshops, and people hiring me privately to help them that has enabled me to make a very decent living from blogging. As I continue to grow and find new things to get my teeth into, I’ve consolidated my blogging and decided to make this my personal and hopefully inspiring vehicle for my work and life tales.
I live in Caterham Surrey, with ‘the boyf’ my husband (we got married June 9th 2012) who works in IT, our 5 year old ‘the bambino’, Saria, and our 3 year old Nia aka Grace Jones (child has att-i-tude!). I’ve appeared in various newspapers, Red and Marie Claire, have guest posted for Cosmopolitan.co.uk and have done a number of appearances on Sky News as wells as The Vanessa Show, plus the BBC seem to like calling me up to talk about cheating on their radio shows.
Even though I don’t use my original blogging name NML as much, lots of people still refer to me as that!

Natalie, you are a legend – I cannot praise you enough! Your baggage reclaim is inspirational and better than therapy ( and god knows I’ve had enough of that!). God bless you and your blogs – I’m also a mother now and looking forward to getting inspired by your other projects. The world needs more Natalies! Lou xxx
Hi NML,
What does the M stand for? Just interested to know more about you. I bought the NC book and loved it. Showed it to the life coach I was working with at the time and she made sure I read all of it! Not that I was reluctant to do so…
I finally broke up 5 months ago from an unavail, verbally abusive man, I had loaned money to (unfortunately). I had attempted to break up once before but went crazy with my love sickness and dependency needs and was back with him in a few weeks. I feel like this was a bottom for me of (hopefully) my last addiction! Thanks for all your help to look at myself and the unhealthy patterns I’d been more or less repeating the last 30 years!
I bet your girls are adorable! Do you use their pictures in any of your other web postings for the baby products? I haven’t looked yet as I am 50 and never married or had children. I will look if their pics are there!! You probably don’t have time to respond but if you care to post on your blog what your middle name is, that would be nice for us with “enquiring minds”. No, I’m not trying to steal your identity!
I’m on FB under Mary Culbertson in St. Paul, MN if you want to make sure I’m on the up and up. Best regards. You’re awesome and have helped me change my life, hopefully forever!!!!!
